Today's Call Processors do more than just transfer a
caller to an extension or take a message. Automated Attendant - Voice Mail
answers incoming calls, guides the caller to the proper line, transfers the
call, takes a message, calls an alternate party or puts the call through to
an operator. Advanced Call Processors are capable of processing data and
performing functions far beyond that of a standard Auto-Attendant - Voice
Mail system.

An Automated Attendant
can answer all incoming calls, act as an "over-flow" for a live operator,
take calls only after hours, or take calls from employees, suppliers,
regular customers and others who need to get through quickly. Direct dial
access using an Auto-Attendant is far less expensive than the cost of Direct
Inward Dial lines.
Voice Mail
True
interactive Voice Mail can dramatically cut wasted time. Historically, only
one-third of all inter-office calls are completed. If telephone "tag" costs
each employee 30 minutes a day, then a 20-person office loses more than
2,500 hours each year.
Invitations to leave a message are in the called party's voice. Callers can
leave messages from any phone, anywhere in the world, at any hour. Each
message is personal, so all messages are confidential.
When a message is received, the Voice Mail system can
activate your phone system's "message waiting" lamp, call your
pager, or call you periodically - at your desk, on your cell phone or at an outside number,
as often as you wish.
To retrieve messages, users simply call into the Voice Mail system and identify themselves.
If a reply is required, users can make it immediately. The effect is identical to a completed
telephone call: information is exchanged, but without the need for a simultaneous
conversation.
The accuracy and reliability of Automated Attendant - Voice Mail encourages
callers to leave more detailed messages. The result: increased communication
and productivity, at less cost.

If you have an earlier model WIN Communications telephone system or a
business telephone system manufactured by a different company, you will need the
Stand-Alone Auto-Attendant - Voice Mail system.
